News Release April 13, 2008. Team Chicago is pleased to announce the formation of the Team Chicago Academy. The Team Chicago Academy will be a high level soccer program for the U14 – U18 boys and girls. The Academy teams will build on the foundation established by the Team Chicago U7 – U13 youth program and expand the development of the older youth player into high level technical and tactical player using a more intense training regiment and a fine tuning of their skill base. Team Chicago Soccer Club is a nationally recognized youth soccer program based in the Aurora and Naperville and the Tri-Cities of Geneva, Batavia and St. Charles, Illinois. Team Chicago is known for developing highly technical players at all ages. Over the past 6 years, Team Chicago players have had a major role in 4 boys and girls Illinois State High School Championships, have received over 120 college scholarships and have produced over 16 national team players for the United States and other national teams. The Team Chicago Academy staff will provide a year round program to prepare each player to achieve their goal of playing for their school, college or even professional team. Team Chicago will encourage their Academy players to participate for their high school athletic teams, but the TC Academy will also provide a training and team environment for the player who chooses not to play for their school. All Team Chicago teams both youth and Academy will train and play in their localities. Team Chicago South youth and Academy teams will train and play in the Naperville-Aurora area and the Team Chicago west youth and Academy teams will train and play in the Geneva-St. Charles area. With the formation of the Academy teams, Team Chicago Soccer Club will once again provide a seamless and unified environment for the U7 through U18 soccer player.
